BTCC cars ready for next event

Post by gordon »

Made good use of the Republic Day holiday preparing my BTCC cars, the lion's share spent on my new MG6. They're now both ready for next week's event:

They're basically identically prepared, with a couple minor differences for the rule allowances given to the larger VW Passat and MG6 cars. It'll be interesting to see how their performances compare.

Your MG6 model looks great Gordon .. :!:

You know I had selected this BTCC model to race (at first) and not long after, turned down the decision and went with a BWM instead ....

Well, it was nice to know you decided on afterwards & seeing it’s all ready to race in record timing.

Because of the flying colors (livery) and your skillful tuning preparations, sure you will record victorious lap times.

I will end off with this saying ...
  • There are two rules for success:
    1. Never tell everything you know.
:D Bless,

Luke I remember that we discussed this car and you initially registered it. Glad I got it after you opted for the BMW. I too hope that it performs well.

Sure others would ... and some of life schooling from my parents.

Dad - watch & learn
Mom - share what you know

But interestingly enough as the years went by - the ‘two rules for success’ was a hard & fast teaching I noticed for myself ;-)

Looking good G!! I hope my own will be ok ? :? I may consider doing one of two things. 1)buy another larger wheel base car (Passat or MG6). 2) buy an identical Honda and change the #. Not sure????

Would be interesting to see how Gordon's MG6 runs if the setup is basically the same as the Civic.
