Racing this Saturday 29th Jan (KB, CM, VSGT, VSP)

Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 2:00 PM this Saturday (29th January) for our new Group A classes - Kitbash (KB), Clubman (CM), Vintage Sports GT (VSGT) and Vintage Sports Prototype (VSP).

Here's the schedule:
  • 90 minutes of practice and testing.
  • Qualifying for first class, immediately followed by first race for this class. This is then repeated for each remaining scheduled class.
  • Additional races for each class as time allows.
You can see the class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.

See you on the circuit...
Gordon

Gordon,

Other than WhatsApp group chats ...

It's GR8 to see this (when next) style Racing message 8-)

On checking, the last time you did this sort of FRC Racing info was June 2020 and unfortunately had to Cancel because of Lock Down :(

Anyways ... don't think that will be the case this time and depending on how things go - I may very well drop by (with no cars) for ole time sake ;)

Luke, yes, its been almost two years since last we had a formal event at FRC and I'm glad to be able to get back to them. It would be GREAT if you came by, with or without your car (but why not bring it anyway?)!

I will see how that goes (on my end) with a 1:32 car but not promising :)

On a separate note Gordon & sure you already know ...

Time has it, going into 14 straight years of FRC Digital Racing, which first started in 2009 and since then hosted (approx.) 21 events per year 8-)

If I was asked to describe in one word ... AWE-INSPIRING ;)

However, the start of 2019 Pandemic surely slowed down racing (to WW Lock Downs) in the last few years :(

All in all & with the saying - things don't stay the same forever - with this upcoming event being the 295th. Racing Day ...

Also thinking about your 4 Racing Sessions late 2020 ...

Technically this would have made it FRC's 299th. event :D

That said ... and in the coming 2022 months - you truly have to organize/plan some sort of special celebration ..!
  • FRC's 300th. Event
