I sure did Gordon and it wasn't all that difficult (probably) because of my Digital years at FRC ... Another point I would like to add - why I didn't go with the Slot.it SP15C Digital Chip plus SP45 Connectors , believe they're (other than a conversion) best used for/in the Slot.it Model Cars ... wh...

Your thinking sounds very reasonable Steve ... However, how I decided to go with the Scalextric C8515 Digital Chip & believe (if I was to use) with any other brand car, the C7005 Digital conversion style - https://www.electricdreams.com/Shop/parts-c-3/scalextric-parts-c-3_354/scalextric-digital-modu...

Did a bit of research ... and decided to keep things real simple - Scalextric C8515 Digital Plug in Chip is the way to go
